Coaching for Intentional Change

When you think about people who have helped you the most, how did they make you feel? Did they make you feel they saw the best in you and wanted to help you get there? Did you feel supported?

Alternatively, have you ever had a performance review where you felt people were just digging for dirt instead of expressing a genuine interest in helping you?

Next month we will talk about Coaching for Intentional Change based on the book, Helping People Change: Coaching with Compassion for Lifelong Learning and Growth by Boyatzis, Smith, and Van Oosten.

The framework will introduce exercises to identify your or others’ ideal self, real self, strengths, and gaps - plus discuss the trusting relationships necessary to help with change.

We will focus on how mining for gold, or supporting the positive in others is an effective method for helping people own the changes they want to make.
