Mapping Feelings to the Energetic Self-Perception Chart (iPEC Energy Leadership)

One of the key elements of Energy Leadership is the Energetic Self-Perception Chart, see Bruce D Schneider’s Energy Leadership: The 7 Level Framework for Mastery In Life and Business. The chart contains 7 nested circles moving from low to high energy states with language for each core thought, core feeling/emotion, and action/result.

I’ve taken the 7 states and created an energy awareness log so I can start tracking my energy throughout the day. Previously, I was noting different states using my Anabolic Bingo card.

In translating the diagram to an energy awareness log, I’ve had to grapple with the meanings of the energy states.

My favorite part of the Energetic Self-Perception Chart is moving from a feeling of needing to having to being. Below are the Core Thoughts (T), Core Feelings/Emotions (F), and Actions/Results (A) for each energy level along with other words I’ve chosen to associate with the level.

I’ve been told that it’s important to stop trying to feel better and instead work on being better at feeling. I’m hopeful that by struggling with different feelings, I will learn more about myself and what might be blocking me at times from becoming the person I want to be.

It’s been challenging to map the different emotions and I appreciate all feedback on my suggestions below.
