January Intention: Nourish and Renew
Happy New Year!
My word for 2025 is nourish so I am starting the year with the intention to focus on nourishment and renewal in January.
My January started with a peaceful new year’s day during which I made pancakes. At some point while I was cooking, I noticed flashes to the left and my vision seemed out of focus. At first I thought it was the sunlight coming in the windows to my right or a visual migraine, but it wasn’t.
I wasn’t able to see an eye doctor until the third where I learned I had a full posterior vitreous detachment in my left eye and my right is partially detached. The next few days were filled with headaches as my brain tried to compensate. It’s been exhausting and the floaters have made focusing challenging.
And so I’m posting this entry late, but with an early January date.
I am now able to spend small amounts of time drawing and have updated my intention sheet to make the energy tracking smaller. I’m also testing having the dates on the tracking sections so if I’m late, it’s easier to fill in past dates.
What does nourishment look like for you?
This month I’m celebrating anything I do that feels nourishing or renewing - sleep, a good book, a good meal, cooking, cleaning, decluttering, exercise, pausing, connecting, learning, etc.
Below is the January log. I am continuing to note my Energy Levels (see Mapping Feelings to the Energetic Self-Perception Chart for more on Energy Levels) and recording notes for as many days as I can.
